Possibility of 2nd copy of Payment Plugin to be used in Sandbox mode

We currently use Stripe Checkout Plugin for EB.
We want to do run some test events on Events Booking.
We want to test these events using Sandbox mode rather than Live Mode.
Is it possible to install a 2nd version of the plugin so we have Live Mode for our normal events and Sandbox mode for these test events?

You will need to make a clone of the payment plugin (might require modify code of that cloned plugin, too)

We will look at setting EB up on our Test Joomla System and install the plugin there in Sandbox mode.
