SEO: How set events to noindex and links to events add rel=nofollow was created by Patrick
Hi
I need to do search optimization on a website that uses EB.
The SEO agency told me it's important to set "noindex" to each event. I don't see such parameter in event details.
Second: All links to the events, e.g from table layout, must have rel=nofollow.
How can I do all this?
Thanks a lot.

Hi Patrick
1. The links to events do not have rel=nofollow. I don't know how you want to have that, but for that, I'm afraid of you will have to perform customization to the code yourself
2. For adding noindex to event details page, we do not have that option inside each event. So you can try to edit the menu item which you created to display events, set Robots to noindex, nofollow to see if it works. Maybe that could be applied for #1 above as well
Regards,
Tuan

Hi Tuan
I noticed, if in menu item "Use Global" is set, no meta robots tag is added.
If I select "index, nofollow" for list of events, then I hope robots will not index events detail pages. But it still would be very much better to have the option to set "noindex, nofollow" or any othe meta robots foreach event.
I have adeed this as a feature request:

Hi Tuan
If I set noindex, nofollow in global configuration, then all Joomla articles get this. I then can set index, follow in each menu link.
This way it should be possible to have noindex, nofollow in all event detail pages, but not Joomla articles.
But: In event detail page there is no meta name = robots.
Can you please check this?
Event detail pages should get values from global configuration, I think.
Thanks a lot.

In case anyone wants to have noindex, nofollow for events details page, get this file, unzip it, upload the received file to components/com_eventbooking/view/override/event folder on your site
