Auto Public holidays was created by Alexandre AUGER
Hello,
I'm a newcomer on this extension. It fit perfectly my needs.
However, I would like to know if it would be possible to show public holidays of a given country.
If it's not possible, is there an option to override all events on those dates (if they are manually added) to show only the public holyday?
Regards
Alexandre

Hi Alexandre
Unfortunately, this feature is not supported at the moment. Could you please explain exactly how you want it to work ?

Hello, thanks for your answer,
For me it would be a file (yaml, xml or whatever that can be possible) per country that users (I mean here) could fill and share with the yearly public holidays for the specified country.
User (end users) could upload it on joomla and it would automaticaly create events reported as public holidays.
Now in event creation/edition, users could toggle a checkbox name : Show event on public holidays
That's my point of view and just an idea.
However, since public holidays are often fix dates (not always unfortunately), it could be hardcoded in the extension files. (I personaly think that it is a bad idea

Well, I found something better, why not use an API and automaticaly integrate it ?
date.nager.at/Api
This one seems pretty good.

Yes this would be handy to have. Sets the public holidays and school holidays. Most of the time you would not want an event on a public holiday, but would still need the ability to have an event if required. For school holidays a change of hue with a label maybe on the calendar for those set weeks during the year, but events can still be set as normal.
Thanks
