The 'login' is a link but does not link to my website 'Member->Sign in' menu item which triggers a pop-up.
How do I edit this link ?

The login link will link to login page when users can login into their account before continue the registration process

I am using the module 'LoginModal' from Brian Teeman.

Login is Menu Type URL
URL is simply #login
So whatever page you are on '#login' is appended to current url
See baup.org.uk
This triggers popup window with Login Form

That's not the login page the extension aware of. You will need to customize code yourself (the file components/com_eventbooking/themes/default/common/event_message.php) if you want to use that kind of link
