Child events not showing in module was created by Jason McMahon
I have decided to start using CHILD events as this is great for alternative date display. I have added a module which shows the MAIN events no problem, but there is no reference to the CHILD event. The child event is published and visibe in the backend
I have exposed the $row data and can see no reference to the child event whasoever in the data dump
I have tried the module with DEFAULT, TIMELINE, HORIZTONTAL, IMPROVED
Do child events not show on the event 'grid' modules, and if not why is there an option to 'show children' = yes
How can I expose the 'child' events as I want to create my own custom view which shows all dates this event is running

Hello Jason
Please make sure you re-download latest package of the extension from My Downloads menu item and update it to your site because we change the behavior of showing child events recently
After that, edit the module, set Show children events parameter to Yes and children events will be shown
Regards,
Tuan

Child events are now showing HOWEVER they are showing as individual events.. what I am after is (made up dates)
EVENT 1 EVENT 2 EVENT 3
Date 12/5/2023 (book) Date 15/5/2023 (book) Date 26/6/2023 (book)
Date 23/6/2023 (book)
So a CHILD event is grouped WITH the parent as an extra date, not just another event
I have not looked at the model extract yet ($row) but does the child event SHOW that it is linked as a child to a certain parent? If so I can likely tweak the display myself

I just did a dump after creating a child event (additional dates) (which is a very tool)
In the dump there is NOTHING to link the two events together other than maybe name or category.
Each event just shows as a seperate event in the dump so I have no easy way to link the two together
It would be useful if the CHILD event showed that it had a PARENT or the parent event just showed the EXTRAS DATES and the ID of of the EVENT in its own self contained loop that we could easily display

Hello Jason
Children events are not being grouped under parent event as you expect. Children events, actually, independent with parent event, it has it's own registrants
So in case if you want to group children events under parent event in the module, I'm afraid of you will have to perform the customization to the module yourself

Tuan
