very strange error on an event's admin screen was created by Roy Chappell
Hi

I recently updated a website to version 4.2.0 and now an event's admin page seems to be trying to load another screen, see bottom right of image below. What could be causing this?

thanks
Roy

Hmm

That causes by some changes in Joomla 4.2.x. Please update your site to latest version of Events Booking and the error will be gone

Tuan

Oh, strange because we do not use that JString class in our code. Could cause by a customization? Please submit a support ticket sending us super admin account of the site and link to the page which we can see the issue. I will check to see why it happens and get it sorted

Hi Tuan

Thanks for your prompt handling of my issue, which was caused by a 3rd party plugin

Yes. Usually, it causes by third party plugin or an override made base on old version of the extension

Right now, Events Booking works well with Joomla 3.9+, Joomla 4, PHP 7.2+, PHP 8.0, PHP 8.1. Next release will also compatible with PHP 8.2 :). We will always keep up to date with latest Joomla and PHP versions

We have a similar "Class "JString" error with edocman. It happens on adding a pdf document in backend. Could you please tell us, what 3rd party plugin caused this issue? Maybe it is same in our case?

Thank you and best regards

Hello Arne

For this, better submit a support ticket to EDocman category so that the maintainer of EDocman extension can help checking and solving it for you

Tuan
