turn on front end editing? was created by Stefan Schoch
Hi there,
I just recently migrated my site from Joomla 3.10 to 4.2.5.
What do I have to do to turn on the ability to edit the EB events and categories within the frontend?
I am logged in as superuser, I see a little edit-sign at all modules and menus, but not at Joomla categories, articles nor EB events or articles.
What am I missing?

Hi Stefan
Frontend editing, as you figured out, it is only supported for editing modules, menus.. For Joomla articles, I believe it can also be edited, not not the categories
For Events Booking, you can only edit events from frontend, not categories

Hi Tuan,
thank you for the reply!
Problem is, I don't see any edit-button or something both with evetns as with articles.
How can I open an event to edit it from the frontend?
Stefan

Hi Stefan
Could you please access to event details page, you should see the button there. If not, go to Events Booking -> Configuration, look at Themes tab, set Show Actions (Edit, Publish, Export) buttons config option to Yes and you should see the button
Regards,
Tuan

But:
this is how I configured the settings: i.imgur.com/BrmdKK0.jpg
this is how the edit-page looks like: i.imgur.com/Xns6etU.jpg
It seems that all fields of the 'extra information' tab are displayed, no matter which setting of the parameter 'Show Extra information tab' I choose.
Is there anything I can do about that?

Maybe it is because you are using Simple Layout for submit event form. Please go to Events Booking -> Configuration, make sure you have Frontend Event Submission Form Layout config option set to Default
Then check it again to see if it solves the issue?
Regards,
Tuan
