Email Notifications By Category

Is it possible to set up email notifications by event category? I have a client who has four different category of events with a pair of managers for each category. I have the creator of the event set up to receive notifications, but would like their partner to receive, as well.

In each category, there is a setting called Notification Emails. You can enter the emails there and it will work OK
