Open Question to ALL forum members please was created by Chris Jarvis
Hello everyone.
I wasn't sure where to list this post sorry but as we take bookings for our online learning courses through Events Booking I thought here might be the place.
I think I need a really good Learning Management System (LMS) for my Joomla website by the end of this year ideally.
With the Covid situation we have seen a huge interest in our online courses and LMS seems to be the way for students to manage their progress and us to see all our students in the one place and know what they have achieved and what they still have to complete. Quizzes, watch videos, progress reports etc etc.
My first thought (and I am sure everyone who pays for any JoomDonation extension is the same) wouldn't it be perfect if Tuan and all the developers here could make one for us all.
I know I am being a bit cheeky asking as JoomDonation develop a lot of extensions already that are fantastic but knowing how good they are and how intelligent and clever they work, my dream would be an LMS solution created by the JoomDonation team.
Much easier said than done I know.
It seems such a huge market for them now yet any I have looked at aren't that clever or flexible once I really start to use them. all they do is setup people to access course videos and answer basic quizzes. They don't have any of the clever admin tools and reporting, file upload, access level automation or removal or scheduled article content release like Membership Pro or Event Bookings do now - and they aren't even LMS systems.
Sorry for a long post but if - and I understand Tuan and the developers are very busy - if JoomDonation don't have any plans to create an LMS extension themselves....
Does anybody else here use an LMS with Joomla sites running JoomDonation extensions that they could kindly recommend or have any ideas and thoughts as to how things could be achieved?
I am currently using a combination of Event Booking, Membership Pro, Quiz Deluxe from JoomPlace, Amazon Web Services for videos.
I looked at OS Campus as we use some of their extensions too but it was great for a visitor but not enough control for us as admins
I know this isn't related as such to Events Booking and I do apologise but between Tuan and his community, I have had some really good advice and thoughts from you all in the past and just wanted to ask again or have some discussion
No stress of offensive if nothing comes back my way.
Hope everyone is keeping well and safe
Thank you

Hi Chris
Thanks for your recommendation for the development. As we are still too busy and don't have any experience with LMS system, honestly, we won't be able to develop that kind of extension in near future
Hopefully you can find a good extension and then, maybe, ask the developer of that extension to customize it for you to meet your own need
Regards,
Tuan

Hi Chris
If you have a Facebook account, I would suggest you to join this Joomla user group on Facebook www.facebook.com/groups/joomlanospam
There are many experienced Joomla users / site-builders/ developers there which could help with recommending the right product to use
Regards,
Tuan
