Event Capacity - Unpublish event when full, alternative option Hide Event was created by David Unwin
In EB there is an option to set 'unpublished fully booked event' when the capacity is reached.
At the moment there are 2 issues, one I am sure about and the other I think is an issue, bit I could be wrong.
First issue is if capacity is reached then event is unpublished, but then if someone cancelled their booking leaving a place free for someone else, the problem is they can't book it as the event is still not published as there is no auto unpublishing in EB. You have to spot the cancellation and manually re-publish.
Second Issue. If the Event becomes unpublished, people managing the registrants on the front end of Joomla can't see the event to manage registrants. I think I am right here, but I maybe wrong.
There is also an option at Event Level where you can set the event to be Hidden, so it is still published but users will not see the details on the from end.
It would be nice to have the option to set the event to be 'Hidden' when capacity is reached rather then unnpublishing it

Hi David
1. The first issue is right. You need to re-publish the event manually when someone cancels their registration
2. For the second issue, go to Events Booking -> Configuration, set Hide Unpublished Events From Events Dropdown config option to No and it should address the issue

Hi Tuan,
Thanks for pointing me to the Config Option 'Hide unpublished events from drop down'
Re my last point.

I assume this is not available at the moment, so I will put as a suggestion for development in the future'

Yes. That is not supported at the moment. Compare to unpublished, make the event hidden will still make the event accessible if users know the event link
But that should not cause any issue here, I think. Put the request to features wishlish forum, if there are more customers need it, I will consider supporting it in future releases of the extension
Regards,
Tuan
