Hello, I have found that the quantity adjustment on the Events Booking checkout is inaccessible to screen reader users like myself. After adding an event to the basket, the input field for the quantity of tickets required can not be accessed resulting in no option to increase the number of tickets required. I have tried every possible screen reader technique to access this field but am unable to adjust the quantity. I believe there is a arrow up and down but this can not be detected by the screen reader. Would it be possible to have actual plus and minus buttons either side of the quantity field that will be picked up by a screen reader please? Also, the delete / remove button has no label so the screen reader simply announces “Button”. Can a description be added to explain what the button does for visually impaired users please? Many thanks in advance.

Hi Julian

I must be honest that I don't have knowledge with accessibility yet, something I have to learn to improve the extension.

1. For the quantity input, I am using number input field type, if it is not accessible, I will have to find a solution. But it will take sometime because I must learn what change is needed to make it accessible

2. For the buttons, the change should be simpler. Do you have a sample code for button which makes it accessible as you requested so that I can look at and make this change?

Hello Tuan,

Regarding the quantity input field not being accessible, I thought that perhaps the problem was a setting within Events Booking and I was correct. The issue was caused by setting "Prevent duplicate bookings?" being set to yes. Once turned off, the quantity field can be adjusted by simply typing the number required. This is fully accessible.

I shall return soon with the reply to your second point.

Many thanks.

Ah, great. When Prevent Duplicate Registration set to Yes, the system will prevent changing the quantity, that explains why you were having the issue

Looking forward to receiving your sample about the button so that I can adjust the code to make it accessible

Regards,

Tuan
