I have started this topic just to gauge the reaction of JoomDoination customers who have both Events Booking and Membership Pro so that Tuan and his team could see if there is suffcient customer demand to look at a closer integration between the two products.
We (my charity) uses both products and we are very happy with both of them as individual products. For us though there is a very tight link between the two.
In our case we use membership Pro to give members both discounts, different pricing and free entry to our events. Our events are 'Physical events' rather than virtual events.
We currentlyt assign members to difderent Joomla groups via Membership Pro in order to give them free or discounted access to our events via Events Booking discounts.
While this works it is means we are introducing Joomla ACL as 3rd element to acheive this. For us it would be much more useful if there was a direct link between Membership Pro and Events Booking. So for instance if a user was a Class A member they would get a 100% discount on events, A Class B member would get a 50% discount and a non member would pay full price.
So my question is, Would you like to see a closer and more direct link between Events Booking and Membership Pro? If so how would you see this working.
