Upcoming Events sidebar module -- links broken because detail page is disabled?

Thanks for your help on another thread using the timeline layout of upcoming events without the detail link, going directly to the ticket purchase page at Ticketmaster. Unfortunately, this seems to be breaking the Upcoming Events module (on the homepage) that's trying to open the detail page for the specific event (which I've disabled).

Is there any way I can have it open the $event->registration_handle_url in a new window instead?

I don't understand the issue you are having. Could you please send me link to the page and explain what's wrong so that I can understand the issue and guide you to correct it?

On the homepage scroll down to the left sidebar module position, and you'll see your Upcoming Events module. It's displaying the event I created correctly, except that the link is broken -- I assume, because the show details button is turned off. I want the image and title to open the Registration Handle URL for each event in a new window.
