Update 4.0.1 cannot be installed

Hello, I have tried several times to install the 4.0.1 update, but without success. 
I get the following error message: Package download failed. Download and install manually from joomdonation.com/index.php?option=com_dm...ckage&document_id=56 . When I click on the link for manual download there, I get a 403 error.
I have also changed the PHP version from 8.0.14 to 7.4.27. The same result in both cases.
What else can I do?

There are few reasons which could cause the errors:

1. Maybe it is because you haven't configured Download ID yet. Or that Download ID is using on a different website (dev site for example).Generate a new Download ID, and configure it , then try again. It should work eventbookingdoc.joomservices.com/getting...on#use-joomla-update

2. If it is still not working, check and make sure you still have an active subscription

3. And go to Extensions -> Plugins, check and make sure Installer - Events Booking plugin is enabled

Hello,

I have been having the same problem with 4.0.1 and now also with 4.0.2. I have a download id saved and the installer plugin is turned on.

When I clicked update it starts to update things as I can see in the log, but it then just ends up at a white page. I click refresh and then it goes back to the website and shows that it hasn't been updated. The link to download from also says the website doesn't exist.

will do, thanks for the quick response. FYI, I am having the same issue with edocman 1.21.0

Just want to update that the issue happens because our extension package is quite large and the server resources (I imagine memory limit and max execution time configured on server too low). Increase server resources by increasing value of these settings solved the issue
