Is It possible to have an event with no dates showing was created by Chris Jarvis
Hello All
Hope everyone is keeping well
Is it possible to list some events with no start or end dates at all?
I offer a lot of our training courses through Events Booking and everything works pretty much to perfection which is superb but we also now offer an online course that we just want to be available all the time for people to register for at any time and complete in their own time
I started this year with a 2021 Online Course that allows you to register anytime from 01/01/2021-31/12/2021 and you have many months to complete things
Now though more and more people are contacting me saying they won't complete it all before 31/12/2021 and aren't signing up for it but they get months to complete once they sign up if that makes sense
Is there an easy way where I can hide any start and end dates for an event showing on my site without having to change any of the other events that work great on the date settings?
I really just want 1 course to say "Online Course" that can pretty much run forever and be registered for on any date
Any help would be superb and sorry if I am missing a really easy setting.
At the moment i have just set the end date out 31/12/2022 to stop spooking people
Thanks as always
Chris

It sure did thanks Tuan
It was exactly what I was wanting.
I've applied that and changed the translation message and now this is perfect too.
You've thought of everything for me again and thank you for pointing me in the right direction
It looks great

Hi Tuan
Sorry to come back to this after a while.
You fixed things for our online course events showing really good with the above EB_TBC override thank you.
I have another question please about a similar thing.
Our online events are proving really popular with members and we are now selling replay access to those who didn't register originally.
We set these up as a separate event and people can register anytime they like. We automatically apply them to the correct Access Level upon registration and they get instant access to the article and video they need. This is really good thank you.
For these events though we really don't need to show any dates at all as there is no end date to registering and watching for them.
We have realised that if you don't put a date in Event End Date or Event Cut Off date, they don't show them on the registration page which looks perfect.
But we have to put an event date in before we can save and this shows.
I am using the Menu-Category Default Layout view for Event booking for these replay event and you can see what we have it looking like here: www.strengthandconditioning.org/event-replay
I can't use the EB_TBC trick here as this is already set perfectly for our online courses as shown at the bottom of this page: www.strengthandconditioning.org/level-01-online
We did consider using the shop to sell the replays as Mp4's (I use JoomDonation eShop for our shop with Giang) but buying a shop product doesn't then auto-assign an access level like Events Booking does and we prefer giving them access to our articles with the replay embedded these days as we have better control
Hope this makes sense and please let me know if this is possible as it is the last step to getting the replay events added as new events and is very exciting
Thanks
Chris

Thanks Tuan and sorry for not being too clear
Could it work the same as the Event End Date and Event Cut Off Date fields?
If no event date entered, the page doesn't show the date information and hides it like the other 2 fields?
Does an Event have to have a date?
Thanks

I realise that an Event Date also helps order and list the look of this page too Tuan so the events can list better.
Could an option of Hide Event Date be possible?
I am just thinking whether this will work. It is harder than it sounds isn't it?
Sorry

Thinking more again here sorry Tuan
Maybe I could reword the EB_TBC message to cover all our online event registrations better and this would work without changing anything.
Please let me think this through and I will come back to you.
Sorry to waste your time for now but even you replying to me so quickly has got me thinking differently.
My the EB_TBC message could read 'This is an online on-demand event and you can register now to access it'
Or something like this. Please leave things for now as I know how busy you are helping us all on so many other things.
Thank you and sorry for now

Hi Chris
1. Each event will need to have an event date, so you could not leave it empty
2. There is no option to hide event date as it is most important information of an event
3. Yes, you can customize that message to meet your need
