"custom fields" for each event category vs. "fields assignment" plug-in

Hello!
Can I create individual registration forms depending on the category?
I tried to solve this with the "fields assignment" plug-in. Unfortunately, after assigning a "custom field" to an event, not all "child events" are updated with this field, even if I tick the box next to "update children events".
What am I doing wrong or how can I show / hide individual "custom fields" for each event category?

Just go to Events Booking -> Configuration, set Assign Custom Fields To Category Instead Of Events config option to Yes

And then when you add/edit the custom field, you can assign it to categories instead of to event and it will solve the issue
