Replay tickets for past events

I would really like to discuss a topic. 
We organize a seminar on date x. We have sold tickets for this event with EventBooking. All is okay.
Event has happened. Event has been recorded, as it was a livestream event.

Now we still want to sell the livestream as a REPLAY of the event.
How do I set this up?
If the event day is in the past, the shopping cart shows: we do not accept eventbookings anymore.
so apparently as soon as the event starts, no tickets can be sold.

How can I override that? In this case, we still want to sell the REPLAY for another month. 

Is the only way to set the date of the REPLAY 1 month in the future???

I don't understand exactly how you want to setup the date for that event. If you want to set event date to a past date and still want to allow registration until future date, just set cut off date of the event to future date you want and registration will be allowed until that date

yes, that is indeed what I want to achieve! This works, the only thing I will have to keep in mind now is to publish "past events" in my category table view, otherwise it will NOT show up, AND I will have to unpublish the events that I do not want to show (past events ).

Maybe you can switch to use Upcoming Events Table layout? I believe it will still show the events on the list if cut off date is greater than current date. Maybe it will help you to manage it easier?

no, it does not show up.
but we are okay with the solution so far, we unpublish all events in backend that are in the past, it is at the moment no problem.
