Transfer Translations to another site was created by Dave Johnson
Hi,
There is an article on this forum about transferring an Events Booking installation to another site so all the events and registrants and configuration are kept.
I have created a new Joomla 4 site because upgrading is too awkward. The last thing I need to do is to transfer my Events, which I successfully did by installing the latest Events Booking on the new site, dropping all the eb_ database tables, exporting the eb_ tables from the old joomla 3 site, importing tables to the new Joomla 4 site.
All is fine, except there are no translations copied across. It seems they are not stored in the database. How do I copy the translations from the old site to the new site?
I have a lot of these as I have reworded a lot of the labels.
Thank youDave

Hi Dave
That's stored in language file. Depends on the language you are using, you can find the translation in language folder
For example, for English, it is language/en-GB/en-GB.com_eventbooking.ini
Regards,
Tuan

Great. Could I ask what language you are using? Maybe you can share the translation back to us?

Hi Tuan,
I'm using en-gb but I only use the translation feature to re-word labels and messages. For example, I change "Register Individual" to "Click to Book" and others that are more relevant to my customers.
I don't think it would be of use to anyone else.
Best wishes
Dave

Ah, OK. Thanks Dave. For en-GB, we would use default translation. Thanks anyway
