With that setting, I would say that the field won't be shown on waiting list. Maybe there is something on your site causes this issue (could be an override made on old version of the extension when we haven't had support for that setting)
Please submit a support ticket sending us super admin account of your site and link to the page. Tell me ID of the field which should not be shown but still be shown at the moment. I will check to see what's wrong and get it sorted
