Time format of backend is different to frontend was created by Petra Prekwinkel
Time format in configuration is d.m.Y h:m
In the event I set  the time of the event 12:30 (backend)  - but in frontend its 12:06.
I dont understand, its not the server time its the event time.

Hello Petra

Without knowing the details, it is hard to know what's wrong. I can only guess that you have wrong value set for Event Date Format config option. If you want, you can submit a support ticket so that I check it for you

Regards,

Tuan

It's very likely that you are using wrong parameter. See www.php.net/manual/en/datetime.format.php for list of parameters which you can use to configure DateTime format
