Sliding Scale Fee was created by Allen Siewert
I would like to add a custom field to an event so that the user can select from a sliding scale.
The Field Type "Range" seems to be appropriate for this. . I can't seem to make the range values effect the event price.
I can't find any info in the support docs or forum for "range" field
How can I set this custom field up so that my users can use the slider to select a price on a range rather than set radio buttons?
thanks

Hello Allen
1. The form does not looks good to me. Maybe you should check and configure Twitter Bootstrap settings properly, see eventbookingdoc.joomservices.com/getting...ersion-configuration
2. For the fee of range field, it is not supported by the extension. I just modified code abit, could you please help testing it to see if it works:
- Get this file, unzip it, upload the received file to administrator/components/com_eventbooking/libraries/rad/form folder
- Edit the field, set Fee Field to Yes, set Fee Formula to [FIELD_VALUE]
Then check to see if it works and update me with the result

Hello. I was wondering if the range field has been modified so that it can work as a fee field. Since this thread is over 4 weeks old I though I would check in to see if it is now a feature of Event Booking.
Thanks.
Thanks.

Hi Eric
It didn't but I just added code for supporting it. You can download latest package, upgrade it to your site to use this option
Regards,
Tuan

Thank you for your help with this.
I downloaded the latest version and installed it. The range field is still not working correctly for payment. I think the issue is the range field itself as when the registration form loads, it shows the default value of $15, but changes to $0 as soon as the range slider is moved.
I have attached a screen shot of the range field's settings.
Any thoughts on what the issue might be?

Hmm. Could you send me link to the registration form so that I can take a quick look?
