Possibility for registrant to remove from waiting list?

Hi,
Registrants can remove themselves from an event if cancellation is allowed. But (in my case) they cannot remove themselves from the waiting list (in registration history frontend). It is only possible in the backend. 

Is there a way to let registrants to remove themselves from the waiting list?

No, it is not possible at the moment. What will happens when someone remove himself from waiting list? Just change status to cancelled? Or complete removing himself from the system?

I think it should work as in the backend. It would turn the waitinglist-registration for the registrant to cancelled (published=2 in DB). Also an email should be send - similar to the already existing "Canceled from Backand"-Email.

That would be confusing, I think. At least we should have separate email subject and email message for waiting list cancellation

Also, if we set status to cancelled, there will be no difference between registrants cancel their registration and waiting list cancel , it is confusing, too. So need carefully thinking before implement support for this option

Re. the cancellation status. We have that behavior already today, I think. Pick a registrant on the waiting list in the backend and press "cancel registration". Because we have it today already in the backend, I don't find it confusing.

Hi Tuan,

I would like to bring this back. For my users, it is really a problem that they cannot leave a waiting list. The functionality is however available in the backend. I.e. in each of those cases they create a support ticket and ask for cancellation through an admin.

I really think you should consider to allow cancellations also for a registrant being on the waiting list.
