Timeline Layout - filter or seach?

Hi,
we're using a navigation item that is directly linked to –  com_eventbooking » Upcoming events - Timeline Layout

On the page we have a list of all webinars - is it possible to add a search OR category filter on the top of the page - so that the USER can select a specific category?

Update: Found the search bar. But no filter for the category in the user frontend

Currently, we do not support filter by categories in the filter. If you want to have filter by categories, maybe publish and use search module instead

I will see if I can support filter events by category in next release of the extension
