I did not make change to the module in the new version. Could you please send me the screenshot of the module so that I can check and guide you to check it further?

Hello

The short description is not available for that improved layout, unfortunately

If you want to show it, try to edit code in the file modules/mod_eb_events/tmpl/improved.php

Just use the command echo $row->short_description to have short description displayed at the position you want

Great. Please remember to move the modified file to PATH_TO_TEMPLATE/html/mod_eb_events folder on your site so that this change won't be lost when you update to future releases of the extension
