Event Custom Fields: Problem with required="true"

Hi

I use some Event Custom Fields for the simple.php Form to allow some user to create their own events. For some of the Custom Fields i use required="true". I see the "Required-Star" by the fields. It seems to work. But if I leave the fields blank and use "Submit", the form is incorrectly sent. Without an error message.

What can i do?

We only use event custom fields to allow entering more data about the events (mostly for administrator to add additional data for event)

As of right now, we do not perform any validation to the data entered for the field, sorry
