Purge all registrants was created by Jon Hammond
My website has been under some form of automated attack. The consquence is they've managed to register for an event waiting list over 70k times!
How do I purge the whole data base? hitting show 100 registants, clicking all, delete, return 7000 times isn't practical and select all crashes the page.
How do do this - Joomla user but not an expert on backend systems so a detailed explanation may be needed.
This was a past event, any possible security flaw assosiated with this?
Thanks

Hello
Access to the database via phpmyadmin, find the following tables and truncate it:
- #__eb_registrants
- #__eb_field_values
Then it will be OK. To prevent attack like that, you might want to setup and enable captcha. See eventbookingdoc.joomservices.com/basic-setup/enable-captcha
Regards,
Tuan

Thank you for the quick reply. However, I'm not an expert in PHP stuff. Can I have some pointers as to how to do this please?

Figured it out, all worked, thank you for your help.
Perhaps a delete all registrants would be a useful feature. Thanks.

Great. Delete all registrants would be useful but quite dangerous if the action is performed by mistaken. Maybe I can provide a tool (which requires you to enter URL manually to perform that task instead of via UI when you need) to do that in the next release. I will update it here if I do that

Hello John
I just added a hidden tool to allow deleting all registrants by accessing to a URL.
1. Login to administrator area of your site
2. Access to this URL
domain.com/administrator/index.php?optio...lete_all_registrants
(Replace domain.com/administrator/ with administrator URL of your site)
Please be careful as there is no confirmation step. So don't try if you have live registrants data. This is a hidden tool and only used when it is really needed only
