Tournament - multiple events in one day at the same time.

Hi all,

I already have EB installed for some time now and looking to use it for an . . . event !

We are running a football tournament for two days in Summer.  For each day there will be multiple age groups playing.  For example we will have an Under 10 event with a maximum of ten entries and an Under 11 event with a maximum of ten entries.  We have multiple football pitches so we can run the U-10 and the U-11 at the same time.  For added perspective, we're expecting about 100 teams to enter over the weekend . . . . .Covid permitting 

My assumption is that I will need to set each age group up as an event (one event for U-10 and one event for U-11).

My questions:

1. Is my assumption correct?
2. Has anybody done something similar in the past and, if so, are there any pitfalls I should avoid?

Maybe each age group in your case could be a ticket type instead? See eventbookingdoc.joomservices.com/plugins/ticket-types
