Upgrade from Event Booking 1.6.6 to 3.14.0 was created by Kinman Li
Hi,
I'm new to Joomla and Event Booking and only started looking for a friends website and the lacking of maintence.
I've updated the site to the latest Joomla version 3.9.23 however when I upgrade the event booking extension from 1.6.6 to 3.14.0 I get a 504 error and with further investigation i release that the database is missing a couple of tables like the "*_extension" or "*_menu" table, but there are no fixes in the joomla->manage->database.
Please adivse what I can do? And maybe the best practice.
Thanks for the all the help

Hello Kinman
If your site lacks these tables, how could it work? Somehow, you will need to make sure these tables (which belong to Joomla core) exists first
Can you still login to administrator area of your site and see everything works OK?

Hi Tuan,
Sorry further investigation and realised that there were more than one page of tables. So yeah all tables are there and I am able to login into the backend (joomla administrator) but when trying to access the event booking component I get this error "1054 Unknown column 'is_searchable' in 'where clause'".
Also noticed that when viewing the frontend of the site I get this error " 1054Error: 1054Unknown column 'a.main_category_id' in 'field list'"
Please help Tuan.
Thanks in advance

Okay found another way of getting there in the document using "
domain.com/administrator/index.php?optio...g&task=update.update
".
Its loaded back up for both the event booking component and frontend site.
Strange though that the registration forms for the events that were created before the update are not working, but new events work. Any ideas?

Hello
Exactly what is not working? I think you should try to go to Events Booking, then Tools -> Purge URLs to remove the cached URLs
Then access to the event lists again and try to register for the event. It should work
