validRange option on calendar was created by John Sanderson
Hi, I have looked at the calendar code but I cannot find where to add the validRange option to make sure that it won't allow the callendar to page forwards or backwards forever. When my SEO guy runs a spider on the site it times out at over 50000 links because the calendar just keeps paging. Can you tell me where I can insert the code for this?
Thanks,
John
Thanks,
John

Hi John
We do not have that option available. Could you please send me link to the calendar page and tell me exactly how you expect it to work?

You will see the paging icons to the left and right of the month and year selectors.
I would like these to be disabled when the date hits a minimum value (on the left) or maximum value (on the right right) so that it is not possible to page backward or forward for ever.
Ideally by specifying the valuse in the dashboard but I'd be happy with an override.

Hello
Could you please get this file, unzip it, upload the modified file to components/com_eventbooking/themes/default/common folder on your site, then check it again to see if it works?
Basically, with this modification, the system will only allows you to navigate within 5 years from current year to the past or to the future. That should handle your requirement, I believe

Great John. Please remember to move that modified file to PATH_TO_TEMPLATE/html/com_eventbooking/common folder so that the change won't be lost when you update to future releases of the extension
