Event Attachment not uploading was created by Malcolm Silver
Hi Tuan
I am having problems with uploading the attachment to an event. I browse to the attachment on my PC and select it. It appears next to Browse button. When I save the event, the attachment disappears. (It does not appear in the "Select Attachment" list either.) Am I doing something wrong?
I am using the latest edition of Events Booking.
Many thanks

Hi Malcolm
That's strange to me. For this, please submit a support ticket sending us super admin account of the site and tell us the event which we can try to upload attachments and see this error
We will check to see what's wrong and get it sorted. Or better, I think you should use attachments plugin to upload attachment instead, see eventbookingdoc.joomservices.com/plugins/attachments
Regards,
Tuan

Hi Tuan
I have sent you details for you to test the site. On my main site I have just enabled the attachment plugin - (I didn't know that there was one!!) - and this seems to be a better way of uploading attachments.
Thank you for your support

OK Malcolm. Yes, that's better way for uploading event attachments. So please use that method for now. I think we can ignore the original one (I think I will remove the old option in next release and enable attachments plugin by default)

Thanks, Tuan
I will do that - seems a better method anyway. Enabling the plugin by default in next release seems a very good idea, and then removing the old option.
Thanks for your continuing excellent support and for a great extension.

I had this issue too but the root cause was the file extension type was not allowed in the Configuration settings e.g. I could add a PDF file but not a DOCX file.
Resolution is either update the configuration or save file as allowable type.
Go into Configuration and go to 'Attachment file types' and the allowable types will be there. Mine looks like this:

Thanks Stephen for sharing the solution. However, I think it is a different issue compare to the original one.
Anyway, the issue you described here is valid and could happen, so thanks again for sharing.
