"cancel by date" when copying was created by George Michelogiannakis
Hello everyone,
I noticed that when I copy an event (by editing and then "save as copy"), the "cancel by date" is not set to the new event date. This essentially disables cancelling in future copies of an event.
So I'd like to add a feature request to have the "cancel by date" update! Thanks.

Hi
Are you saying that when you Save As Copy, the created event still use the cancel before date data of the original event?
Please give me more information about this error so that I can understand and check it further

That's right.
Event A has a date and a cancel by date of July 1st. When I edit event A and save as copy with a new event date of July 8th, "cancel by date" remains July 1st. It doesn't update to match the new event date.

Ah
The date must be set manually yourself. So before press Save As Copy button, you need to change that date to the date you want and it will be stored properly

Understood that's what I'm doing now. I just thought it was more intuitive to preserve the distance from cancel by and the event date. That is, if cancel by is one day before, when the event date changes, cancel by can automatically advance to also one day before.
Just a thought. Thanks for the reply.

Save As Copy, basically, just creates a new event base on the data available which are inputted on add/edit event screen, no more, no less. So for now, please change the date (and other data if needed) manually before performing the action
