1 registration only in multiple simultaneous events was created by Maaz Juan
Hi,
I have setup 4 events, started at the same time, but in 4 different locations. I know we set it to no duplicate registration but how can I set registrant to select only 1 event to attend from this 4 events? Is there a grouped events?
Any idea how to achieve this?
Thanks.

Hello
Maybe you can use this plugin eventbookingdoc.joomservices.com/plugins/auto-registration ? The idea is you can create an event and configure it so that when users register for that event, they will be registered automatically to all other events you want?
Regards,
Tuan

Hi,
Thanks for your reply
The plugin you mentioned is to make user automatically register to all 4 events. What I need is the opposite.
Ok here is the scenario again.
This is free events. I created 4 events with 4 different locations and set itlimited to 10 participants, or users in each events.
In 'Configuration' the 'Prevent Duplicate Registration' is set to 'Yes'.
This 4 events start simultaneously in 4 different locations.
A user should not (physically impossible of course
) be in 4 different locations simultaneously.
So user only allowed to attend 1 event from this 4 events.
For user, to grab this limited hot seats, at this moment, user can abuse this. A user can register to all that 4 events.
How can I prevent user from register to other 3 events when he already register with 1 event?
Yes we can manually monitor it because maximum here is only 40 registrants. But if the limit is set to a higher number, let say, 2000, we have to manually monitor for 8000 registrants. Event worse if the Cut Off time assign to admin is short, 1 or maybe 2 hours before events start.
Any idea how to prevent this abuse? :pinch:
Thanks for any help

Hello
Currently, we do not support this option. Do users need to login to register for these events? And do you setup both event date and event end date for the events?
I need these information to think about it and find a solution

Thanks for the information Maaz. I will find sometime to help you implement the check using override and post it here with instructions. That could take few days as currently, I'm abit busy. Will it be OK? When do you want to go live?

Hi,
Sorry to reply to an old topic, but I have exactly the same question. Was there a solution for this?
