Coupon code applied still adding VAT

Hi Tuan

We have recently become VAT registered so this is still a bit new to me.

If I have an event with the cost of £30.00
and I raise a coupon voucher for £30.00
The VAT is still being applied so there is still a cost of £6.00 to pay.


Surely if they are getting £30.00 discount on a £30.00 fee there should be no tax applied?
Please advise.

No, for voucher, it's not working like that. Total payment amount, in this case, is still 36$ and you will have to pay 36$

In case the voucher has value 30$, you will still has to pay 36 - 30 = 6

That's how voucher works.
