Cannot Set "Update Children Events" for existing recurring event

I set up two recurring events and for the first one I was able to select the "Update Children Events" checkbox after saving it. However I created a second recurring event (totally separate event), and after saving it when I select the checkbox it does not save. When the page refreshes the checkbox is not checked.

How can I fix this? I already tried adding a new recurring event and it is doing the same thing.

The checkbox is not saved/checked by default. So each time you need to update data from parent to children events, you need to check on that checkbox again

I am still having issues with this. Even though the checkbox is checked, the child events to do not update. I cannot just delete the child events because we have people signed up for them. What do we do?

It turns out that some things are in fact updating (such as Ticket Types), but the Custom Registration Handle URL field is not updating.
