Module Upcoming Events: show events from today, too was created by Patrick
Hello
I use module Events Booking - Upcoming events.
This module does not list events from today if start time is in the past.
Example:
Today is March 4th 10:00h.
I have an even starting from March 4th 08:00h to 17:00h. This event is not listed because of start time 08:00h.
If I change start time to 11:00h event is shown in list.
It would be better to take event end time for "calculation" of future events.
Reason: For many events, even if event has started, it still is possible to join. This goes for Open Air concerts, Festivals, Exhibitions etc.
So it does make sense to list them because end time is in the future.
Is there a way to make end time as reference?
Thanks.
Patrick

Hello
We do not have an option to support that behavior yet. So if you want it to work like that, please use this modified module

Hi Tuan
I want to be sure to be able to update the module in future.
What did you change and would it be possible to add this to an Override?
Thanks.

Hi Patrick
It's not possible to implement this change using override. So each time you update Events Booking, you will need to re-install this modified module. When I can implement a config option to support this behavior, I will let you know so that you will just have to change a setting to have this behavior
But it will take sometime

Hello Tuan
Having a setting for selecting if events from "today" (but with start time before than actual time) are listed or not would be perfect solution!
I'm looking forward to it
Maybe you want move this topic to feature request?
Thanks a lot.

Hi Patrick
No need for moving it to features request forum. This is something I want to add to core package of the extension, just haven't had time to implement it yet
Will update you as soon as it's implemented
Regards,
Tuan
