Imoprted images don't show before saving. was created by Senioren Beuningen
Hello Tuan,
I noticed a strange effect with importing url's of images in events. I make a lot use of importing events from an excel file, works great.
But there is something strange with importing images. In the Excel file in the colomn "image" all the url's are placed. But when I open the Events in the frontend in a "Category list in Timeline Layout" they don't show.
When I open the event in the backend I see the url of the image at the right spot. The only thing to do is save the event. After that the image shows in the Category list.
For this time I can solve the problem with this workaround but it would be nice if there's another way, now or in the future.
Regards

Hi Douwe
I think it's because when you import, no thumbnail image is generated
So after you import, please login to administrator area of your site, run this URL:
- domain.com/administrator/index.php?optio....resize_thumb_images
(Of course domain.com/administrator needs to be replaced with administrator url of your site)
After that, it should work well
Regards,
Tuan

Hello Tuan
Sadely that didn't work or I did something wrong. In this case the complete command is www.seniorenbeuningen.nl/joomla/administ....resize_thumb_images .
After giving the command when logged in I ended in a blank page and the images still didn't show in the frontend. What can I do more then saving every event

Maybe you have too many events and the system does not have enough resources to process the resize?
Maybe contact your hosting provider, ask them to change upload_max_filesize and memory_limit setting (to give the system more resources to resize images for all events), then try again?
