PayPal sandbox doesn't work was created by Senioren Beuningen
Hell Tuan

Some time ago I had problems with the payment procedure via PayPal (ticket #129746).
This time e-mail configutration in Joomla is OK; I can send test e-mails. This time nothing happens after ordering tickets, no e-mails are sent, no event is registred with a registrant. I tried it several times over several hours.
In Mail settings "Log Email Types" is set to "New Registration Emails"
The difference with former time is; The site has been moved from the internal NAS to the definitive location on the internet. I changed needed configuration settings as far as I could find them, but maybe I have forgotten one. The rest of the site works OK

Do you know what could be the problem?

The main question is what is the status of the registration record after payment completed? Pending or Paid?

That's the strange thing; when I open the list of registrants there is no new registrant in the list. And when ordering the tickets everything looks alright, but no e-mals are sent.

Hello

Please go to Events Booking -> Configuration:

- Make sure at least one of the two config options below set to Yes:
+ Include Group Billing Records in registrants management
+ Include Group Members Records in registrants management

- Maybe you can set Show incomplete payment records config option to Yes, too (to have the failed payment records show)

Then you should see the missing records

Include Group Billing Records in registrants management was already set to YES.
After I set Show incomplete payment records config option to Yes all the records show and they are all pending. I checked it with Paypal sandbox and the amount of money is payed for the tickets.
Glad I see something, but why is it still pending?

update status:
Suddenly some of the tickets have the status "Paid". The registration date was 02-02 around 16:00. Time between registration and change of status is about 67 hours.
Could this be because Paypal sandbox isn't stable?
And while writing this another ticket status is changed.

For the moment I'll keep you informed. And if you have a tip, please let me know.

Yes. PayPal sandbox is not reliable (confirmed by myself, while testing the payment process). Sometime, it works immediately

Sometime, you have to wait for few minutes or even, longer

So, better, test it (with small payment amount) in Live Mode if it's possible. It will work well

Yep, all payments are in now. Problem is solved. In the live mode we will only use iDeal. I only wanted to test it now because I have moved the complete site. I'm confinced all wil work alright.
