Suppress Confirmation Email was created by Alicia Gilbert
When adding a registrant to an event in the backend, is there a way to suppress the confirmation email for just that registration?

Hi Alicia
Unfortunately, it's not possible. If you want that, some customization to the code will be needed but it will cause problem with future update
So better, use it as how it's for now

Hi Alicia and Tuan
I think I might know a way for that to happen if you are adding a registrant to a event manually but I might be misunderstanding what is needed.
It certainly works in Membership Pro when adding a new membership subscription manually or a renewal and you don't need the email to go out.
If you go to where the 'Emails & Messages' are kept off the dashboard or your choice of the menus and look up the email message that you DON'T wish to send, you can remove the subject line and save the changes to that screen first.
For example in Membership Pro: You might click the Renewal Messages tab and then scroll down for the Subscription Renewal User Email Subject Field.
And clear that out. Same for Subscription Renewal Admin Email Subsject if you didn't want to send the admin email address one either.
Mine currently shows: Membership Subscription Renewal for [FIRST_NAME]
Then you can go and add your subscription manually and the email(s) you cleared of the subject line don't get sent.
Please just remember to go back to the Emails & Messages screen and add back in any subject lines that you cleared previously or none will get sent out automatically, You also need to note that the subject line may have a [DATA FIELD] name it too and you would need to copy this back exactly.
I usually just cut and paste it clear and then paste it back when I am finished,
This works in Membership Pro and might work the same in Events Booking with a test.
Sorry if this isn't what you wanted but thought I would add it just in case.
I use it occasionally when renewing staff members subscriptions and they don't need to be notified or have me send anyone an email while I am logged in as Administrator

Hi Chris
Yes. That would work. But as you can see, you will remove the subject of the email before adding registrant and then restore it after completing adding registrants. That's why I said it's not supported
Regards,
Tuan

Totally agree of course Tuan
You are right and this way is only a workaround for sure.
But I love the feature and use it regularly for this kind of situation.
To me, it shows the many flexible ways in which your software can cope with pretty much any event (pun intended) thrown at it!
It is a great way to achieve what I need on one off occasions and hope Alicia and others might find it as useful as I do.
All the best
Chris
