I realized that it is currently not possible to set a coupon validation period. All data entered into the coupon valid from and coupon valid to fields are removed on save. (Only the coupon generator keeps the dates, but dates will be removed, if the generated coupon is edited.)

Actually, it is a bug in version 3.10.5. Please update your site to 3.10.6 and the issue should be sorted
