Is it possible to not show the coupon field?

Is it possible to NOT show the coupon field on the registration page for an event, if that event does not have a coupon associated with it?
For the coupon setup, I set it to work, I think, for just one selected event and the event I do not want it to show on is NOT the one selected but the coupon field still shows on the registration form.
