Event Password - seems to save to browser was created by John
Testing an Event Password, for a private registration event. The password worked - found out it is not case sensitive - but the password seems to be saved in the browser so if someone closes the browser and reopens (or browses elsewhere and then comes back to the event), the password requirement is bypassed (not shown nor needed). This should not be how it works. Is there a way to prevent this from happening?
Thanks.
Thanks.

Hello John
The password is actually stored in session. The idea is that user will only have to enter that password one time only (during that active session), not every time he accesses to the event
So users will only have to enter the password one time until his session expired (depends on session lifetime setting on your site). Usually, it will be valid for 15 minutes (default Joomla session lifetime). So if you close your browser and then one hour late you access again, you will have to enter the password
Hope the explanation is clear for you

Hi Tuan,
Thank you for the reply and explanation. I understand the password is saved, session based. The likelihood of this causing an issue is low so I think we can deal with it. If any issues crop up, I will let you know. Thanks again.

Yes John. There should not be any issue with this, so just move on with other setup
