Unpublish when it is full working wrong

Description of option 'Unpublish when it is full' says that 'If set Yes, when number of registrants of an event reach its capacity, the event will be unpublished automatically'.

Instead, when this option is set Yes, registrant is auto-unpublished, not event. Which makes limited events always available.

EDIT: It works ok, when registrant is registered by front-end. So issue is only from administrator page (backend).

How did you add registrant from backend? When you add registrant, please make sure :

- Registration status set to Paid
- or Payment Method set to Offline Payment

When you do that, it should work as expected

I was hiding some fields in form including registration status. Adding hidden field solved problem, now its working as expected.
