test with Paypal sandbox was created by Senioren Beuningen
I use EB now in a test environment with a Paypal Sanbox account for payments.
Formerly it worked alright but now it does not. After paying for an event I do not receive any e-mail messages.
Paypal says it sends e-mail notifications to the ticketmaster and the mailaddress of my test account wich is a gmail address. But I don't receive a message on that address.
Also there are no messages sent by EB to the ticketmaster and the registrant.
Do you know what could be the cause of this problem.
Regards,
Douwe Bangma

Hello Douwe
PayPal sandbox is not reliable. Sometime it works but sometime, it doesn't
So try again in a later time. If it still does not work, maybe you will have to test it with a small transaction (1$ for example) on Live Mode

Hello Tuan
First I found your reply Oké, but now I have some doubt. Today I exported the list of registrants and I can see that the events I booked for, are in that list with status "paid". I assume that is only possible when Paypal sends a confirmation to EB.
And if so that could meen that EB should have sent confirmations to the registrants what it did not.
Am I right?
Regards
Douwe

Hi Douwe
If the registration is with Paid status, email should be sent already. Maybe your mail server could not deliver email to that email address for some reasons?
Could you please:
- Go to Events Booking -> Configuration, look at Mail Settings section, choose to Log New Registration Email
- Then try to test it again, make payment. Once payment is done and the status of the registration record is Paid, you can go to Tools => Email Logs:
+ If you don't see email logged, that mean there is a problem with Events Booking
+ If you see the email logged and user still not receive email, then it's a problem with mail server
Base on your test result, we can check it further

Thanks for your quick reply and you were spot on. Problems were with the mailserver. Changed some things in the Joomla system and now EB is sending e-mails again.
Thanks again.
