How to not email attachement? was created by Patrick
Hello
Regarding your documentation, attachement is emailed to user if he registers for an event:
If you want to send a file attachment to registrants when they register for the event, choose and upload that file here. By default, the file will only be sent to registrant email. If you want to display it on event detail page so that users can download it, go to Events Booking -> Configuration, look at Themes tab, find and set the config option Show attachment in frontend to Yes
I want to show attachement file on event detail page, but not have it emailed to registrants.
How can I prevent sending attachement to registrants?
Thanks.
Patrick

Hi Patrick
Unfortunately, we do not have a config option to disable sending attachments in the email at the moment
I will consider supporting it in future releases of the extension

Hello Tuan
Thanks.
It would be a nice feature. This way everything would be possible: Show in detail page of event and email it or just show it or just email it.

Hi Patrick
I just added support for this option. You can access to My Downloads menu item, download latest package, upgrade it to your site
Then go to Events Booking -> Configuration, look at Themes tab, set Send Event Attachments config option to No and the event attachments won't be sent to registrant email anymore

Hello,
is everybody's "latest package" the same?
I'm running 3.10.4 already - but don't see this option in the Themes tab.
Thanks.

I just added support for this option today without releasing new version, so if you want to use it, you will need to download latest package, update it to your site manually (or wait for next release and update)

I thought that might be the case.
Would it be fair to ask you to add a sub release number to the versions in "my downloads" (eg 3.10.4.1 etc) so that people like me could see that it's a later version.
It doesn't need to be in the code - just the filename.
- When the package is installed it can keep the 3.10.4 release number. If I see the feature I know it's the new version
(Or put the release number in the code to be really correct?)
Many thanks!

Usually, when I add small improvements to the package, I won't release new version. If you need it, you can download the latest package to update and use the new option right away
Otherwise, just wait for new release and update. I won't add sub-version information for now

Hello Tuan
I did test it.
Settings are there and work fine. I did set send attachment to NO and now attachment is visible in frontend but does not get emailed anymore.
Great improvement of EB!
Thanks a lot!
