Limit registration by categories

Is it possible to prevent users to register for events in certain categories?

Let's say I have categories
Cars
Fruits
Flowers

and all categories have events. Now I want to disable registering for all events in category "Cars".

I use simple frontend submission for adding events and for these events users should not be able to register.

Possible to do so?

No, it's not possible. You will have to set Registration Type parameter for each event to Disable Registration to prevent registration for the events

Since in most categories registering for events should not be allowed, I will set registering to no by default in configuration. Then I need to allow registering by each events that are allow registering.
