Limit Number of Dates Listed

I would like to limit the number of event dates listed under a category. I tried changing the setting in Themes>Events> Events per Page but that didn't seem to help. For example, I would like only 5 dates under Read to Dogs to be visible unless they click to go to the next page to view dates further into the future.

Right now, I receive 403 error when access to that page

You can update your site to latest package of Events Booking. Then edit the Events Calendar menu item, look at Options tab

There is a parameter called Number Children Events Per Category. By default, it is set to 20. You can change it to the number you want and it will work well
