Mass Mail - Unable to save / send updates was created by Duke S.
I have a weirdness.
We used the mass mail feature in Events Booking to send a first email to event attendees. (Unsure whether it was actually sent/received despite success message.)
Coming back to the Mass Mail feature to send a pre-event things to know email, our previous email displays in the message area. We select an event, set the recipients, add a subject and hit Send Mail (the only button other than Cancel). We get a success message, the fields for event and subject clear, and the message area reverts to the previous message from a couple weeks ago, as if the new email was not saved and sent. Nevertheless, my test email was received.
Next I setup to mail to the actual attendees by refilling all the fields. It gave a success message, then a "Could not start mail function." notice. Fortunately, I bcc's myself and can see that 31 emails were sent out of a list of over 200 attendees. In a forum post, Tuan suggesting sending in smaller groups, but I am not seeing how I can manage what subset portion of the event mailing list this feature sends to, or how to set a batch size to send a few each hour. I also don't know how to mark the sent ones as sent and filter them out. Am I just expecting too much from the feature? It can't handle events with more than 30 people? If so, please put that in the documentation!!!!!!!!!

Hello Duke
1. About the cached email message, if you want to change that message, go to Events Booking -> Emails & Messages, look at Mass Mail Template message item and change it. If you don't want the message in Mass Mail pre-filled, you can empty that message
2. For sending mass mail, the system will send emails to all selected registrants. However, if you have too many registrants, maybe it won't work because many hosting provider limit number of emails sent per hour (for example, 150 emails/ hour). That's the reason I suggest to split sending into different times, not sending to all registrants at once
Regards,
Tuan

Use this method
eventbookingdoc.joomservices.com/registr...selected-registrants
to sending email to selected registrants (maybe 20 at a time), then wait for next hour and send to next....

Tuan

Product suggestion - put a note on the Mass Mail page that says where the template can be found. From that page, there is no clue a template exists and is causing the note to be filled in..
