Read Only Customized Field was created by Lionel Charrier
I have a number of field that are shown to registrants during registration process extracted from their Community Builder. These field are updated by an administrator and are declared read only in Community Builder.
Of course they shall not be modified by registrant.
Entering "readonly" in the extra position of the field gives this behaviors. However this seems to work only on Text type of customized field.
AS an exemple I have a date "Medical Certificate" that shall not be modified. If I say this is a Customized Text field, addition "readonly" in the extra position work, the field cannot be modified at registration. The trouble is it appears as it is store in the database yyyy-mm-dd.
If I declare it as a date field, it is properly formatted dd/mm/yyyy but the readonly "extra" does not work and the registrant can change this date.
The same occurs for a radio field. It decalred as a readonly radio field it can be modified. It declared as a text field is is protected but I cannot assign a message depending of its value as I can do it on a radio field.
How can I correct that ?

This is something difficult to handle. Each of these field types require different workaround (even javascript code like the solution for radio here

)
So as of right now, it won't work. When I have more time and there are more customers need it, I will try to work on it

Tuan

I fully understand and if there is no other solution, I prefer the date to be "ISO" like and not modifiable by registrants. A modification, even by error cannot be accepted.
