membership discount for events was created by Graham S. Jarvis
Hello,
I'd like to set up an event and give those people who are already members of our association (via Membership Pro of course) a discount.
Or, charge those who are not members extra.
There is only one event so I don't think I can use Discount Bundle.
And, I want the event to be public (ie not just limited view to members).
I thought about having two identical events - {Event title}-Members only and {Event title}-Non-members
- But because I want the event to be public I can't avoid people choosing the wrong one.
- And if I made one event only viewable by logged-in members, I still can't stop confused members picking the wrong event and complaining that the price is wrong. . . . .
Any ideas?
Thanks,
-Graham-

Hi Graham
Actually, there are simpler way to setup it:
1. Create a new Joomla user group called Paid Members for example. This should be child group of Registered user group
2. Configure Membership Pro to assign subscribers to that Paid Members user group when they subscribe for the plan. See membershipprodoc.joomservices.com/joomla-groups-integration
3. Edit the event, look at Discount Settings tab, use Member Discount setting to give Paid Members user group discount, see eventbookingdoc.joomservices.com/basic-s...nt#discount-settings
With that setup, when users subscribe for your plans, they will be assigned to Paid Members user group, thus receiving discount while registering for the event
Regards,
Tuan
