difference between 'child events' and 'additional dates'? was created by Stefan Schoch
Hi there,
I'm confused about the 'additional dates' option.
What is the difference to child events? When would I use which one?
Is there any documentation about 'additional dates'? (I searched the doc, but no results)
Thx,
Stefan

Yes, there is an additional question:
I have events (a 'practice group') that takes place twice a month.
So creating one event with additional dates would be the right choice I guess.
Question:
Let's say I create the 'master' event today with corresponding additional dates for the next 3 month.
In three month I want to add new dates.
How would I do that? Would I have to go back to the first ('Master') event or can I just add additional dates to one of the 'childs'?
Question behind that question: are the child events just normal full events or are they in any sense depentent of the 'master'?
Thx,
Stefan

Hi Stefan
1. Yes. If you want to add additional date, just edit that master/parent event and add a new date
2. The additional date event is just an independent event with it's own registrants.
Hope it answers your questions
